Lake Titikaka overlaps the borders of Peru and Bolivia. Our tour group took us to the famous floating islands of Uros where we learned how they are maintained with layers upon layers of reeds. The stories of life on these rather temporary spaces were fascinating.

We also visited a group on Taquile Island and they kindly fed us. We witnessed dancing, weaving, and got answers to questions about daily life and culture. The sassy little girl pictured here is named Luce.
